Visian ICL
The Visian® ICL procedure is a type of refractive operation to help correct the most common visual problems, including myopia and astigmatism. It is performed by placing an artificial corrective lens, similar to a contact lens, just under the surface of the front part of the eye itself. The lens will enable you to focus on near, intermediate and far away objects without requiring lenses or glasses.
The Visian® ICL procedure, which can be fully reversed, is able to treat a high range of visual correction, beyond that possible with laser eye surgery, including severe short-sightedness (myopia), far-sightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism.
It is an excellent alternative option to laser eye surgery for many patients and often suitable where Lasik is not indicated, for instance those with thin or abnormal corneas, keratoconus and dry eye.

The artificial lens (1) is introduced under the cornea (2) and will remain there (3), helping you focus without requiring glasses or going through a laser surgery.
